nformation architecture is a fancy term for “editorial design.” It’s not much different than designing a magazine’s content and page layouts, etc. The main difference is that the content is dynamic, and needs to be organized into a navigation system.
The information architecture process is driven by “use cases” which are clearly defined by end user tasks, such as “How do I find my account records...” “Where are the videos I downloaded...”
The uses cases are then mapped out in wire framed pages and flow charts until a clear design emerges that can be tested and evaluated with end users—are you reading this Microsoft?
